VersaPDF Studio is architected from the ground up as a 100% client-side, in-browser document processing utility. Unlike legacy cloud converters that upload your PDFs to remote servers for processing, VersaPDF Studio compiles WebAssembly binaries directly inside your local web browser sandbox. Your confidential documents, scanned receipts, tax forms, and images are never transmitted, copied, viewed, or stored on our servers.
1. Document Content Data (Zero-Knowledge Guarantee)
When you drag, drop, or import files into VersaPDF Studio, the binary payload is read exclusively into local workstation memory (RAM) via the browser native HTML5 File API and Web Workers.
- No File Uploads: We operate zero backend document-processing servers. No PDF streams or raster images ever cross your network connection to our infrastructure.
- No Document Indexing: We do not parse, extract, harvest, or index text, metadata, form values, or digital signatures for machine learning training, telemetry, or analytics.
- Air-Gapped Operation: VersaPDF Studio retains full functionality when your device is completely disconnected from Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
2. Technical, Diagnostic, and Hosting Logs
Like virtually all web properties hosted on global content delivery networks (CDNs), our web hosting infrastructure automatically logs standard HTTP access metrics when web assets (such as HTML, JavaScript bundles, CSS stylesheets, and icons) are downloaded to your browser:
- Network Telemetry: Internet Protocol (IP) address, approximate geolocation, browser user-agent string, operating system type, and referral URLs.
- Purpose of Processing: These logs are used strictly for threat prevention, mitigating DDoS attacks, enforcing rate limits, and optimizing CDN caching latency on rolling 30-day retention cycles.
